What if I want to have the shoot at my place?
- It is best to have your shoot before your baby turns 2 weeks old. I'll schedule you for a week after the due date, and rearrange if you're early or late.
- The shoot usually takes place first thing in the morning, as bubs will generally sleep more soundly then.
As soon as possible! The earlier the better, so that I can make sure you have a spot.
ALL bookings require a $1000 non-refundable deposit to secure a date.
Depending on your package, I usually average at around 2-3 hours. We often need to stop and feed at least once throughout the session - this is normal and expected! Some babies are more settled than others and take only 2 hours, others are fussy and we stop more often, sometimes lasting longer. I respond to the baby - if it's really not working, their health and happiness comes first and we stop until they are ready.
The only thing you'll need to bring are your newborn nappies. Here, I have wipes, a place to feed, and all the outfits and wraps that the baby will need for the shoot.
Outfits - For mums, usually neutral colours like white, cream or tan looks best. Texture looks great too. For dads, a fitted tee with no bold prints or logos visible, in similar colours or black.
Bespoke styling will be included in your pre-shoot consultation.
The dreaded wait. Don't worry, I'll have a little sneak peek to you the day after your shoot!
The rest of your gallery will be available within a month (although I've never taken that long - I get too excited once the shoot is over and get started right away!)
You're a new mum. I get it. It is daunting to leave your home when you and your baby have literally just gotten home! I am able to come and do lifestyle newborn shoots in your own home for an additional cost of $900. Due to the limited amount that I can carry, an in-home shoot is usually more lifestyle shots with a couple of studio shots.
